Music Spotlight: Colourshop With Heartfelt Ballad "Be Yourself"

Relatable and catchy, this song has it all! Colourshop is definitely one to watch.

Alfredo, otherwise known as Colourshop, is Italian born, South American rooted, and London based. With influences from 60s and 70s international pop to more niche, sophisticated Italian pop, his sound is incredibly unique and incredibly professional. Initially, Colourshop was formed by Alfredo and his brother Diego. But this came to an end when Diego moved to Spain and Alfredo remained in London. During their time as a band, they performed their songs to audiences around the world to a great reception.

"Be Yourself" begins with a nostalgic acoustic guitar line and the echo of Alfredo's lonely vocal. Gentle synths begin to build the tension of the song in the lead up to the chorus before the drums and the rest of the instruments lift the song into full swing. The vocal in the chorus is almost nonchalant and reminiscent of simpler, care free times, when we could just be ourselves.
