Catchy, relatabe and everything else you'd want in a pop song!
Jamie Wortley and Michael Brown signed to MCA in 1990s and released two singles, however the album they recorded never saw the light of day. The band are now releasing these songs in 2024, starting with "When This Time Is Over" which was not only written on Butch Vig's old guitar, but is raising money for The Campaign Against Living Miserably, with a percentage of proceeds going to the suicide prevention charity.
This new track fits in perfectly with the britpop greats of the 90s, with echos of The Cure and Oasis underneath the unique sound of Giant Killers. The song opens with relaxed guitar chords and a nostalgic synthesizer and the deep, chilled vocal tone in the verse maintains this vibe perfectly. The chorus is effortlessly catchy and has a positive feeling despite the song asking deep questions about modern life.
