Music Spotlight: "The Drought" by Drue & The Millions

Captivating and entrancing, this track is effortlessly loveable.

The name Drue & The Millions is a nod to all the extremely talented musicians that have been a part of the creation of this project. Fronted by singer Drue aka Einav Cohen, "The Drought" is the project's debut release and is the lead single for their upcoming debut album. The song delves into the despair of having fairweather friends and spending the dark times all alone.

Opening with reflective organ chords and laid back drums, Drue's melismatic vocals provide a glimmer of hope in a desolate sonic landscape. With instantly relatable lyrics such as "I don't need anyone, I'll easily move on" she gives this intensely emotional song a positive overall outlook. Throughout this track the guitar and organ share the space expertly, leaving each other just enough room to shine with their own imaginitive playing and accenting the lyrics that will stick with you long after the song has finished.
