Music Spotlight: Victor V. Gurbo With Foot Stomping Americana Ballad "All The Pretty Girls"

If you like the old time sound of Americana, folk and blues, Victor and his band are a must listen.

New York based musician Victor V. Gurbo is inspired by traditional folk as well as its modern day revival. This talented artist achieved a degree in English which allows him to create strong narratives in his songs. Victor and his four piece band were voted Brooklyn Borough Champions at the WNYC and WQXR's Battle Of The Boroughs and have recieved glowing reviews from the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Not only is Victor a talented musician and songwriter, but he is also an expert luthier and makes his own guitars.

"All The Pretty Girls" begins with a walking bass line and grooving drums which create the foundations for a catchy slide guitar line before Victor's bluesy vocals take centre stage and begin telling this story. The lyrics talk of dealings with pretty girls and the feelings left behind. At 2 minutes and 30 seconds long, this track is short and sweet and leaves the listener desperate for more. Luckily the band have an incredible discography to enjoy, each song with it's own unique story and Victor's signiature blend of folk, blues and Americana.
